The original image was captured by renowned phototgrapher and long time Transworld Skateboarding Photo Editor Grant Brittain.

"I shot this skate photo of Mike Smith doing an acid drop in 1985 at the legendary Upland's Pipeline skatepark with a Nikon FM2 and 16mm Nikkor fisheye lens. This was way before digital photography and Photoshop so my exposure and lighting had to be right on the money. To me, this is the perfect skate photo."
